Hostal Solimar 

Can’t understand any complaints here. The only one thing I can fault is that there is the odd bit of decor and tiling that need attention in my room (409). The location is great and public transport is brilliant, buy a T-Casual card for 11.20 and thats 10 journeys on most transport systems, just ask at the airport, no need for expensive transfers. I came here to visit friends and dj a couple of private parties in both Barcelona and Calella so I was in a perfect location. All the staff were super friendly and offered better service than some 5 star places I have stayed in. I speak Spanish a little bit all staff speak English too. I was here for 4 nights and it only cost me about £140. If you just want a simple, no hassle place to stay with basic features to use as a base then I can happily recommend this place and I will happily stay here again. It’s clean enough, very friendly and close to everything and what you save by staying here you can spend on other things. I cannot vouch for the other rooms but I was well happy with mine and again, all the staff were lovely.
