Fantastic
We stumbled on Noja and on Hotel Hoya (through Booking.com). We were on a road trip in Spain for a month. We wanted to go to Bilboa and the Guggenheim Museum but we didn't want to stay in a city. We did a map search of towns a maximum of one hour outside of Bilboa and Noja came up. It was so cool! Right on the Atlantic coast. A bit off the beaten track but not hard to find. We were there in September; therefore it was quiet. Most of the condos were shuttered for the winter (thankfully) or it would have been too busy for us. Booking.com the night before led us to one of the original hotels in Noja - HOTEL HOYA. And what a little treasure. It was tucked up from the main street, kind of hidden, but not really :) Ask for a room at the front of the hotel, facing the ocean - upper floor. I don't think there is a bad view though from the rooms at the front of the hotel. David was just lovely at the front desk. Service was exceptional for the 3 night stay. Basic breakfast fare - a lot of choices and the dining area is clean and seating is comfortable. The room was small but very comfortable with a lovely deck facing the ocean. Lots of walking in Noja along the beach, above the beach, through the town. We really loved our time in this small seaside town.
