The Cottles B&B/Holiday Apartments

Had a lovely relaxing stay at the Cottles,in the Retreat self catering apartment. The location is fantastic with Polperro and all its pubs and restaurants on your doorstep, but the best thing by far were the lovely hosts, Jo and Mark who couldn’t do enough for us. The retreat was clean and the two outside areas were perfect to enjoy the good weather. Highly recommend to anyone wishing to stay in this part of Cornwall.

We stayed here for 8 nights, everything was perfect, spotlessly clean, ran by a lovely friendly couple, fantastic views from our windows, would definitely recommend. What more can anyone want. Anyone booking would definitely need to be able to walk up the hill to reach the appointment but well worth the effort.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at The Cottles. Mark and Jo are great hosts,, our room was large and very comfortable. The cooked breakfast hit the spot. A Parking spot was a great plus. Great location, so peacful and quiet. Would definitely recommend. All covid safe🙏.

Fantastic hosts in Jo And Mark. Superb breakfast. Lovely big room with mega comfy bed.Spotlessly clean in a very quiet location. Lots of nice pubs in walking distance with good food and great beer. Will definitely return one day.

We stayed for 5 nights in the Retreat apartment. We had a wonderful time and the apartment had everything you could possibly need. A balcony and small garden sitting area were fabulous. It is a steep coming back from the village and car park but that is the only negative. We would highly recommend Cottles and the Retreat and loved Polperro.

Everything from booking to having to change the dates
due Covid, Jo and Mark were so very helpful and accommodating.
Our room was delightful, very comfortable with an en-suite which was very clean with plenty of towels
Freshly decorated bedroom which had plenty of storage space and two two armchairs and a table for us to use
Coffee and tea making facilities was topped up daily too.
There was a vast selection of breakfast choices with gluten free bread which was perfect for me.
My husband just adores a full English so was delighted to see it in the menu.
Our car was parked outside our room so very handy.
A really great memory.
Thank you The Cottles !
I thoroughly recommend this place

We have been coming to Polperro for many years & wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
This last weekend my sister & husband joined us to celebrate 60th birthday .
Nothing is too much trouble for hosts Jo & Mark , having a bottle of bubbly waiting for my sister . Breakfast is always excellent good quality & local produce. Bedrooms are lovely & clean ,beds are so comfy & rooms warm & bright , lovely soft towels , powerful shower , good seating & lots of information available on what’s On locally .
Looking forwards to our next visit

We stayed at The Cottles for the New Year and what a lovely stay it was. Jo and Mark certainly made us feel welcome with a beautiful cream tea for our arrival. The Retreat is a wonderful spacious self-catering apartment, which had it been pouring down we would have been happy to stay in all day. The room was very clean and well equipped and was a real pleasure to call “Home” for a few days. The Cottles is situated near the car park and is perfect for meandering into the village which is idyllic at any time of the year. The area is quiet and peaceful and is perfect for relaxing and enjoying “me time”. The pubs, restaurants and the people make Polperro a great place to reenergise the soul. And the Cottles is the perfect base to choose for a stay in the area.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the cottles b&b, firstly a very warm welcome from jo and mark, our room was lovely and a very comfortable bed, it was very quiet considering how close it was to all the amenities of Polperro. The breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice. There was parking for our car, which we didn't use while we were there, as you could walk into the village within 10 minutes.

On our way back from a lovely weekend here. Walking distance to the quaint little village. Lovely helpful hosts. Well presented and cooked breakfast and very attentive. Generous breakfast aswell. On top you can have cerial, yoghurt and juices. Lovely clean large room equip with everything you need ... even biscuits and some sweets with your kettle and every tea or drink you wanted. Very restful and quiet. Thank you.
