Beautiful place for a peaceful break. We stayed in larch lodge this time and it was wonderful, spotlessly clean with everything you need. The hot tub and sauna are an added bonus. Not sure how well the lake  is stocked with fish though as my husband never caught anything, but that may be due to the cold weather. We will definitely stay again in the future

High standard of lodge, beautiful mature grounds, lovely owners. Simply one of the best places we have stayed in the uk, would recommend Weybread lodges to anyone who wants a quiet location, and a restful break. Pictures say it better than words.

Just home from our 2nd stay here, have stayed in Kingfisher & this visit Heron. Both lodges are lovely & very well equipped & are spotlessly clean. Bed is enormous with super comfy mattress.
Ate out at J D Young's, which was average, Fox & Goose & had Sunday lunch at the Good the Bad & the Hungry, both of these were lovely.
Fishing was very mixed a few days with no catches & others good .
Have already booked for 2026.

These lodges are absolutely stunning stayed in maple this time enjoyed just chilling on the decking,doing a bit of fishing and soaking in the hot tub in the evening, some great places to eat within 15 min drive like the good the bad the hungry and the black swan, will definitely be returning again

Perfect tranquil setting with all lodges privately sited. Stayed in kingfisher lodge which was modern, clean and spacious with all modern cons. Spa area with sauna and hot tub was enclosed and private. Outside decking area is stunning overlooking the lake with own fishing peg from which I landed a 15lb carp. Recommend highly for a secluded getaway. Can’t wait to return.

Myself and my Husband stayed in Kingfisher Lodge for a few days. Its a very nice quiet place.  The lodge was lovely and very clean, i was very impressed. It was lovely and warm upon arrival and is well equiped, with everything you need. The bed was big and comfy, lovely linen. The little Welcome pack was a nice touch. The Sauna and Hot Tub were  lovely and clean. I would recommend Weybread Lakes.😊😊

Absolutely 1st class luxury retreat, everything that we wanted was there, the lodge was spotlessly clean and modern. The bathroom in particular was stunning and the underfloor heating was most welcome. We could not find any fault at all, the hot tub and sauna were perfectly maintained, we couldn’t believe how quiet and private the lodge was, thank you 🙏

Beautiful lodge. If you’re looking for remoteness and high quality accommodation then this is for you. Arrived early and were able to access accommodation, a lovely couple run the site with only a few lodges set around the lake. Lovely hot tub and sauna.  Only 5 minutes to Harleston with an array of restaurants. Peace and relaxation all week!

This is our 3 stay at Weybread lakes and we absolutely love it ! The total relaxation of being on a lake and other than seeing the other man at his fishing peg we didn’t see a soul ! The Willow is by far our favourite lodge so far . With it being length way the decking across the lodge is massive and ideal for sunbathing and meals out if weather is on your side . The bed is so comfortable and the space in the lodge is perfect . On a rainy day the sauna was a massive hit as inside the lodge and the hot tub was well situated behind a private gate and screen . We will be back to try the other 2 lodges in the future

Kingfisher lodge was everything we could have asked for!
Huge comfortable bed with fluffy pillows, just the place to relax for a while. 
Sauna and Hot tub are the most private we have seen, we have stayed in a few fishing lodges in the last few years. 
When the hot tub had a pump issue, it was fixed quickly and with very little disruption to our holiday - perfect service! 
We will be back and I would highly recommend to anyone.
Just to say the Chinese takeaway, delivered to our lodge, was superb!!

I would have loved to have given 5 stars for this lodge break, but there are just a few details that make it fall short of being the perfect break. This said, don't hesitate in booking, if you are wanting a romantic break in a log cabin in what feels like the middle of nowhere, that when you walk in has the WOW factor and is spotlessly clean, this is for you. Book it now!  The photos alone say it all and were everything on our wish list. 

When we arrived at Larch Lodge at 4 pm on a very dark, extremely cold -3deg and foggy, the cabin was warm and toasty. The lake was frozen, the hot tub warm, and sauna in the cabin a welcoming treat.  All these perks should give the cabin top marks, but it falls short on a few things. We are very lucky to have a few hot-tub breaks per year and can only suggest the following to improve on the perfect break. 

Arriving in December, maybe a small Christmas tree? Nothing in the cabin suggests we are in the festive season. The TVs are not SMART, and it is really disappointing to only have Freeview as an option. Yes, you can bring a Firestick, but why the hassle? The heating feels a bit hit and miss, 3 areas to be heated on thermostats. In the info sent, the towel rail is set as always on, but it didn't come on throughout the stay .  It didn't matter as the residual heat from the sauna dried our towels. The hallway thermostat spends the evening clicking on and off. The wonderfully huge bed has a soft mattress and uncomfortable headboard for sitting and enjoying a morning coffee. The microwave has a mind of its own nor does the inside plate turn as it should (not a problem for cooking but maybe needs looking into?) No homely extras such as a couple of board games or pack of cards. A dvd player is supplied, so don't forget your dvds. The music entertainment  system is ageing. As I say, such small details, but this attention to detail, I believe, would make it a perfect stay!  

All of this said, I have already recommended Weybread Lodges to friends and family. Happy travels! 



Beautiful Lodge but falls short of perfect

Had a lovely week staying in Heron Lodge at Weybread Lakes. The location was great, very quiet and the lodge is well furnished and extremely well equipped.

I also fished the lake and while fishing wasn't easy, I did catch a few including a decent carp of 8-10lb and some nice Rudd!

The Hot tub was lovely and the lodge was spotlessly clean, especially the bathroom.

I can only think of one suggestion of improvement and that is very minor, i.e. a good non-stick frying pan would be great as the two in the kitchen were not non-stick, so frying eggs not easy.

I would definitely come back.
