We stayed at Yaxham Mill as we had a wedding and it was the closest to the venue. We had three rooms together on the first floor with views over fields. Comfortable beds , toiletries , hairdryer, fan, tea, coffee and biscuits with extras in the corridor. Breakfast inside the mill and it was cooked to perfection. Lovely friendly host made our stay enjoyable would definitely come again and recommend highly.

We got two rooms and stayed as a family over the last few days. The host, although we didn't actually meet him in person was friendly and informative. The rooms were homely and lovely and the bed was like a cloud. So comfortable! 
Rooms were clean and had all you'd need. Shower was powerful and nice and there were fresh big towels in the room! 
The area is quiet and you're guaranteed a good rest here. 
Breakfast was to order and delicious and the lady who cooked it was lovely and inviting each morning. 
Wonderful location to explore the Norfolk coast. Enough out of the way that it is not full of holiday makers but close enough to hop in car and head off.

Would definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful surprise!
My partner and I stayed here a couple of nights ago, as when booked, a quick convenient stop for the night, and not expecting too much.
Much to our pleasure, I was just the very best!  Our room although very plain, was supplied with everything one could need, including a fan ( wonderful!)  in this very hot weather.
Breakfast was in the mill itself, up one flight of steps, and was very beautifully home cooked.
The Indian restaurant only a few steps away produced a very good evening meal, which was gratefully eaten after our long journey.
So I/we can highly recommend this place, you will be very pleasantly surprised.

I arrived a little early and Paul and his team were so accommodating allowing me to wait until the room was cleaned before going out to a local event.  I stayed in room 10 which was lovely and airy, plenty of cupboard space and the most comfortable bed!  There was a little courtyard outside with a picnic bench which was lovely to sit at listening to the birds on the evening.  

Breakfast was beautiful with fully cooked breakfast and lovely coffee.  Felt like home from home and such friendly and helpful hosts.  If you are looking for a lovely b and b, with great breakfast served inside a mill, this is the place for you.  Will definitely stay here again!

This was our second four night stay. As previous stay everything was spot on. Breakfast excellent. Rooms excellent. Hospitality excellent.
Will be booking again for next November as soon as we've got our dates worked out.
Oh yes...don't forget to pop next door to the Indian restaurant...first class.

We stayed here two nights.  Its a lovely place, very cosy,. Paul and Julie are very friendly people.
Very clean, comfortable, breakfast was delicious.
This is the second time we have stayed here.
Both times were great.

Text received on day of arrival giving precise instructions on where to enter the accommodation and how to access our room.  We were also told the location of breakfast room and that there was a copy of the breakfast menu in our room and that we send our choice by text for our breakfast.  There was a good choice on menu and the chance to order any combination of breakfast items.  Breakfast location was over the ground and first floor, in quaint surroundings in mill tower, with limited access to ground floor dining so if this important mention it at this time.  Breakfast quality was very good and cooked freshly upon arrival.  Room with big extremely comfortable bed, nice hot shower and well stocked tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries.  Over all a very enjoyable stay representing very good value for money.  Would definitely return and highly recommend.

If you need a place too stay in mid Norfolk you will not do better than the Yaxham Mill, the owners and staff are genuine and very helpful. The room ( 11 ) was just as required clean with soft bedding and was siuted me a disabled person.
We will be staying again soon all the best from Mo and Colin.

We stayed for 4 nights. Original booking was for 3 but at last minute I asked if I could add another night on and the owner Paul was very helpful. Room was comfy and clean. Breakfast was very good. Always asked if we needed anything for our room. We also had a meal in the Indian restaurant which is on site and it was the best I have ever had so would highly recommend. Some of the decor was a bit tired in places but for the price we paid I would say the room was good value especially as breakfast is included. We booked here to visit friends who are in Dereham so this was ideal place for us. We would definitely stay again.

DELIGHTFUL STAY

Good value. Great breakfast. Friendly people

Just perfect 😀 Met by Paul on arrival and I had requested a ground floor room, due to mobility. 
Paul showed use to our room with a wet room shower and patio doors leading out onto the courtyard. Room really clean with tea making facility. Bed extremely comfortable with white linen sheets and soft towels. 
In the morning we had agreed 8:30 for breakfast which is in the windmill itself. Paul did offer to accommodate me on the ground floor if I could not make the steps to the first floor. I am so glad I managed the steps as the windmill gave lovely views out of the small windows and the breakfast room was set out lovely. Fantastic breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. 

I booked Yaxham Mill as we had booked dinner at Rani’s Indian restaurant, which is located at the same site. It was so nice to relax knowing that neither of us had to drive home. Would 100% book again.

Paul and Mandy run this family-owned retreat, assisted by Julie and Sally and all make you feel personally welcome. 
Dereham is a short drive away, the enormous carpark is free and buses frequently run to Norwich and Kings Lynn.
My wife and I had a very pleasant stay for seven days and can fully recommend it.
I would however suggest you use the postcode NR19 1RP on your SatNav.

The breakfast sets you up for the day and plenty of options my husband enjoys the porraige it's freshly made we also enjoy the cherry 🍒 jam 
The rooms are clean and tidy 
Paul as put so much into sorting the Mill from him taking over it highly recommend

Anniversary

After several days of staying in Travelodges it was lovely to come to a place with a personal touch. The owners were unable to be there to greet us but they were helpful and communicative in how to find our room and let ourselves in. Breakfast was served with plenty of options in the mill itself, which is well worth a look around if you can.

My one gripe would be that it is VERY easy to hear sounds from other rooms - voices and bathroom noises - which is only a problem when your neighbours come home after midnight and obviously don't realise this themselves ...
