Higher Farm

B&B was very clean bright and comfortable bed Breakfast was very fresh and delicious host was very welcoming and polite would definitely stay here again

Beautiful location, suite, and food. Lovely pleasant host and excellent value. Will definitely stay again.

We were at wedding about 10 minutes away at carden park and booked this place as it was a lot less expensive. The meadow room was spacious and cosy, the bed was very comfortable The breakfast was delicious and plenty. Would absolutely love to stay here again

Fabulous, accommodation top quality bedding towels etc. The host Heather amazing lady nothing an effort we had many laughs with her.Makes you feel very very welcome.
The views lovely. Best B and B ever stayed in.

Lovely stay all round.friendly welcoming hosts in a beautiful farm setting tucked away in a pretty village. Stunning views of mountains all around. Room was larger than average with calming decor.very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast offered a good selection.we chose a full english which was very tasty. Would def recommend this stay.

Heather was lovely and very welcoming. Property was lovely and homely. Breakfast was also fab! Thank you.

We spent a night at Higher Farm whilst visiting friends in the locality on our journey up to The Lakes for a short break. The surrounding area is beautiful with superb views across the Cheshire Plain to the Welsh Clwydian Hills. Our hosts Neil, Heather and Wendy were most welcoming, helpful and friendly. We stopped in 'The Cottage' which was spacious and very well appointed. It was very quiet and we slept well. We also got to see the impressive interiors of the shepherd huts. Beautifully decorated and furnished with bygone artefacts. The fried breakfast was first class. It was a lovely, relaxing stay amongst nice people. Plenty of parking available and the local pub is only a short walk away. Nothing to fault. Would have liked to have stayed longer but hopefully that will happen before too long.

Without doubt this beautiful B&B has to be one the loveliest places we have ever stayed in. The combination of a gorgeous location, beautifully designed rooms, an outstanding traditional full English breakfast and the loveliest hosts you could imagine.

Our room was so welcoming and the freestanding bath, located next to the very comfy bed was so picturesque. We were shown some of the other rooms and all were equally as lovely.

Whilst a lovely location and attractively decorated accommodation is always a main feature when on holiday, the real stars of this retreat are the amazing hosts who genuinely make you feel so welcome and relaxed. Prior to the date of the stay, the fabulous Heather could not have been more helpful and attentive. She really does elevate the entire experience when staying here. If you ask extra nicely, she may even find an extra sausage for you at breakfast. Lol.

Less than a 3 minute walk away is the lovely pub/restaurant and hotel, The Cock O Barn. The rooms there were very lovely but at a much greater rate and nowhere near as nice as the rooms in Higher Farm.

Just a mile two up the road is a lovely village with a friendly local pub, a coop and several decent takeaways.

This area, with the most wonderful accommodation is a must to visit and experience.

We will be going back in the very near future for the all the reasons above.

A big thank you to Heather for being so welcoming. She is a character and a half.

Wonderful stay very nice rooms the view is amazing I like how they have the breakfasts out throughout the whole day I seating area with the TV overlooking the view spacious rooms and get a full English in the morning staff always reply as soon as possible

The room was clean and warm(on a cold Janaury night).
Good sized room with a nice shower and comfortable bed. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning and the hosts were friendly and welcoming.
I really enjoyed my stay and will book on my next visit to the area.

First Rate Accommodation in Superb Location

Best relaxing break in along time. Thank you Heather x

Stayed here overnight to attend a friend's special event, which was 5miles away.
Bedroom was large and spacious. Ensuite bathroom was also spacious, more a wet room, though.

The hosts were amazing. I messaged them on route with a question and they replied quickly.

We were asked what time we'd like our breakfast, which was a nice touch.

The breakfast room was welcoming, with amazing views of the countryside. The cooked breakfasts were very tasty.

The only things that weren't so great were the green light by the bedroom door, which came on automatically in the evening, making it difficult to get to sleep. (I'm not sure if this is a disability emergency light).

We also discovered that when the upstairs guest flushed their toilet, the pipes made a noise down the side of our wall. The noise was so loud that it woke me in the night.

Would I stay here again? Certainly, the owners are a smashing couple

Comfortable and friendly hosts.

What an absolutely amazing place! Beautiful stay from start to finish. Heather, the host was so lovely and inviting. Great communication too, text message on the morning of our arrival giving all the necessary details. The full English breakfast was superb. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Higher Farm B&B.

Excellent!

I have stayed here several times, breaking a journey from South Wales to Cumbria.
Heather and Neil are brilliant hosts who are welcoming and good company.
The setting is wonderful, with far reaching views towards North Wales.
The beds are very comfortable, as is the other furniture. The showers are excellent and the standard of cleanliness is high.
Now, the breakfast - it is undoubtedly one of the best I have had in any hotel or other accommodation that I have stayed in!
We are repeat visitors - when you find a good thing, use it!

Restful and welcoming

Thank you to hosts Heather and Wendy for a great stay at Higher Farm which included a surprise upgrade to Meadow room and the use of a firebowl over at the shepherds hut.
Room was large with lovely comfy bed, 2 armchairs, tv and tea making facilities. There is a door to the garden which was stiff to open and the path needs to be cleared so as not to bring any flowers in with you.
Shower was hot and powerful.
Breakfast was spot on, cornflakes, followed by full English and toast, set me up for the day.
The gardens have a beautiful outlook to the countryside, there is ample parking also.
The local pub is a 2 minute walk away serving food with good outside space.
Would definitely return.

Perfect base for our 2 night break 👌

We stayed in "The Stables" room with-in the main B&B it was perfect, great facilities in the room, breakfast was spot on so tasty and plenty of choice. We were then lucky enough to stay in one of the Shepherds huts on our second night stay, it blew us away the 50s style decor is excellent everything was perfect so much so we have already booked our next 2 night stay in one of the other huts.
Highly recommend. Heather, Neil and Wendy are perfect hosts.
Nicola & Jamie x

Just perfect.

This is a super bed & breakfast in a lovely location with excellent hosts and delicious breakfasts. We will certainly be staying again if we come back to the area for a break. A comfortable bed, an ensuite wet room with wide doors, which might make it suitable for a wheelchair user. Comfortable chairs if you want to watch TV in the evening. Delicious breakfast which was cooked to order. Plenty of storage for clothes.

Excellent comfortable Bed & Breakfast in lovely location

Heather is an amazing host. Friendly but professional, cannot do enough to make your stay as comfortable and homely as she can. The rooms are immaculately clean and are very well appointed and decorated. there is flat path (perfect for wheelchair use) directly from the large car park to the reception door and into the reception area. the two rooms we stayed in had wide doors and one of the bedrooms has a wet room style shower perfect for disabled guests. there is ample storage for clothes with large wardrobe and chests of drawers. The beds are beautifully comfortable. i would not hesitate recommending Higher Farm B&B to anyone for a stay. The exterior of the property is beautifully kept with wild flowers , farm animals close by. and beautiful views of the hills surrounding. Breakfast is absolutely delicious local produce and cooked perfectly by the host.
